Turkey’s prestigious fashion event AYAKKABI / SUMMER 2010 “27th İzmir Shoes, Bags and Accessories Fair” will be presenting their latest shoe, bag and accessories collections for Spring/Summer 2010 between the dates of 21-24 January 2010 in International İzmir Fair Center, Turkey.
The AYAKKABI FAIR has been developed as a result of demand from suppliers and industry stakeholders for a high quality, industry operated and truly independent footwear fair for the Turkish market. The event enjoys the support of Turkish General Shoemakers’ Federation, İzmir Shoes Manufacturers’ Chamber and Aegean Shoes Industrialists’ Association.
Today the Turkish footwear sector has the capacity of creating its own brands and fashion. The performance of the sector largely depends on exports. The Turkish shoes sector had an export value of 345.040.548 USD in the year 2008. At present, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, England, The Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Germany, Iraq, France, Israel, U.A.E, Spain, Italy, Libya are major markets for Turkish made shoes.
Welcoming buyers from around Turkey and overseas the AYAKKABI Fair is held twice a year. The last edition AYAKKABI WINTER 2009 was organized between the dates of 18-21 June 2009, boosting 168 exhibitors and over 8.596 visitors from Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Georgia, Czech Republic, Greece, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Italy, Kuwait, Macedonia, The Netherlands, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Syria, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Yemen.
We strongly believe that AYAKKABI / SUMMER 2010 will be an outstanding event for those foreign exhibitors and visitors, which are very eager to establish commercial relations with Turkish business society and also interested in accessing to the Balkan and East European countries and Middle East countries.
